preventative measures are the best measures

With a medical background in Public Health and a focus in clinical research, Shannon implores a strategic, educated, and health focused approach to fitness coaching. 

She found while working in the health industry was rewarding, her role was to help treat symptoms instead of helping prevent chronic disease all together. 

Shannon has been interested in the medical field and helping others from a young age. But was inspired to pursue research after her father was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung & Brain Cancer while she was in high school. 

Writing research on illnesses like cardiovascular disease, cancer, HIV, and even COVID-19 during the active pandemic was extremely rewarding. But Shannon truly found her passion in fitness after she herself embarked on a fitness journey that changed the trajectory of her entire life.

with physical work comes inner growth

With an intense and traumatic childhood and early adulthood, by the end of college Shannon was left with disordered like eating patterns, issues with her concept of self and body image, overall she felt hopeless and an intense lack of control over her life. 

Starting her fitness journey in 2020 is what Shannon whole heartedly believes changed that. In addition to saving her life and mental health.

Hence the name Splitt3d & Lift3d. Embarking on a fitness journey can push us to exploring other ways we can improve. Relationships with ourselves, our bodies, and self-concept. How we talk about ourselves and view ourselves in the world. 

Shannon strives to inspire, support, and facilitate growth in multiple dimensions of her clients' life. Embarking on a fitness journey is the first step to improving your relationship with yourself and creating the life you want to live.
